Woke up earlier this week to a cold house and a furnace in need of a new blower motor. After calling a couple of independent repair places, I called Arpi's to compare. I was quite surprised to hear their estimate come in over $100 less than anything else I had found, and was pleasantly surprised to see how upfront they were about the charges (though charging by a job rate, rather than hourly).Made an appointment for between 12 and 2 that afternoon and got a call at about 1:45 saying that they would be there in 15 minutes. While this was right at the end of the window that they gave me, it's still better than some other places I've dealt with, and compared to the cable or telephone company, a two hour appointment window is pretty darn good. The technician (actually 2) showed up, had a look at the unit, confirmed what I had suspected and went out to the truck to grab the new parts. Other then giving me a flyer for a duct cleaning special and mentioning that there was a more expensive, though more energy efficient, motor option I didn't get any hard sell for upgrades or other services. The work was done in under an hour (mind you with two people on site). They pointed out a couple other things that I might want to get done: a couple easy DIY things I could do myself, and only one minor plumbing issue that might lead to a sale for them.In the end, the final cost was about $25 more than what I have been quoted on the phone, but still over $100 better than I'd heard from anyone else. Now I'm sure there are probably better deals out there if you take your time to shop around, or if you know what guy who knows a guy. But all-in-all Arpi's turned out to be easy to book and work with, and I think charged a fair price.

I recently had an issue with my hot water heater (Pilot light wouldn't stay lit). As a relatively new home owner, this was the first repair I was having to arrange and it was a bit stressful.I had called around to several other places to see if I could get a quick repair. I didn't receive a call back from many of them and the one or two that I did didn't have appointments for 4-5 days (not good when you don't have hot water!)Enter Arpi's. They told me they could have someone over in 1-3 hours. And they did! The dispatcher also called to tell me closer to arrival time that the tech was on his way.The technician was friendly and got straight to work. He told me it was doubtful my older hot water heater could be repaired but he'd do his best (he explained parts aren't made for that brand and model any more in most cases and they are proprietary). He said he'd do his best though. Lucky for me, he was able to fix it!He also inspected the tank and told me I will need to think about buying on in the next year or so which was helpful. He suggested a model that would be perfect for my home but wasn't pushy about it. He write it down so I'd have the name of it when I was ready to buy.I'm really happy with the service I received and the rates I paid. Its good to know I now know of a responsive company I can trust for future heating and cooling (and plumbing) needs.

Had them come out when the furnace quit working on Christmas night and very cold temperatures.  They charged $250 for the emergency call for the diagnostic and good on them for coming out!  We have no problem paying for the emergency call. But the $14 part they installed for $200 and the $120 part installed for $414 is unreasonable and excessive to say the least!!  Technician was there for just over an hour. Merry Christmas Arpi's!  We appreciate the work but way overpriced! Fixed the problem but just under a thousand dollars!!

My furnace died during the night right in the middle of a cold spell. Trying to find someone that could look at it, I called a few places. Arpi's was the only one who called me back shortly and could give me an estimate on when they could arrive. They came first thing in the morning and we're able to replace my fan motor right away. I'm very happy with the service I've received today.

A colleague recommended ARPI's to me when I decided to deal with my kitchen sink leak. "They're not cheap, but they are quick and efficient," was what she told me. She was bang on in her assessment. When I called them, they quickly fit me in for the following morning. They called in the morning to say that a plumber was on his way and would arrive within 30 minutes. Simon the happy plumber did indeed arrive within that time frame.Simon was friendly and kept his promises. When he had to go back to HQ to pick up parts, he promised to return within 45 minutes. He returned within 40 minutes. He had to cut out part of my ceiling on the lower level to find the leak but he did so in a way that it would be easy to repair. Once he replaced the cracked pipe and sealed it, it was good to go. No more fear of having water spew out of my lower level light fixture each time I washed the dishes above in the kitchen. All in all, I think he was on the job for 3.5 hours (including travel time). People warned me that I'd be paying around $500 for a plumber. These were also the same people who said it's better to pay more for a good plumber. I was happy that the bill came to $389.

Don't even bother. They won't call you back and when they finally came to fix my furnace the technician had no clue what he was doing and tried to tells that my furnace was too old to fix when in reality it is only two years old. He said he had to come back tomorrow to try and fix it and now I am sitting here in a cold house.

I have been working in the HVAC industry for about 11 years, although I've always been a sub contractor, the times i contracted through Arpi's were always wonderful. They have a very skilled and knowledgeable team, and I have learned a lot from them. In my experience they always do every job with great attention to detail, and always made sure I was at my best. I can honestly say if it weren't for Arpi's I wouldn't have the skills I have today. So I would just like to say thank you to the Arpi's team.

I've been working for Arpi's for 12 years now and although there has been challenges Arpi's has provided me an environment to grow a successful career and continue to do so. Do not use these people. They have ruined everything that they have touched both furnace and the A/C. Spent over $2000.00 in parts and labor with these people. When my home was 3 years old they did a service on the furnace and A/C they have not worked properly since. They do horrible work then 1 month after they were there something will stop working again. Things seem to stop after their one month warranty on the work they just did. Then the same problem again, but this time something else is added to the list. Call them back and dig deeper into my pockets to pay these fools. Still having issues till this day. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone!

Our duplex's furnace room was on the shared interior wall in a developed basement so the exhaust had to run across the basement ceiling. The installer took care to limit the amount of drywall that had to opened up in the ceiling trying to get the pipe across the house. After installation we had a minor issue that was fixed without a hassle and at no cost.

URSA is a non-profit organization that works directly with individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. We have been working directly with Arpi's since 2012. They complete all our plumbing and HVAC needs for all our residential group homes. I just wanted to say how much I truly appreciate everything Arpi's does for URSA. We had an emergency incident at one of our group homes this morning and your staff have been incredible in dealing with the situation and being quick with solutions and completing repairs. Also, Vern came directly on-site to ensure everything was okay. We can't thank you all enough for always going above and beyond for URSA and ensuring the safety of our clients is #1. Please extend my sincere thank you's to Chad B., Vern S. and Ren. Thank you,

A+++ Highly recommended for all your heating and cooling needs. Very professional with high quality work. I have dealt with Arpr's in the past for commercial jobs and this was the first time dealing with them for residential. Needless to say they did not disappoint. They did the install as if they were installing it in their own home and the senior tech wasn't settling for less.

I just had Arpi's out to install 2 new furnaces. It was 3 day job and the crew was on time and knowledgeable. It was very technical work that involved re-venting the new system and this was accomplished with a great deal of the original infrastructure. I am amazed at how quiet the new system is and I feel confident that Arpi's will support me if needed in the future.

Got my HVAC installed. I feel it was done well and quickly. Honest recommendations regarding which AC to buy and the installers were very knowledgeable. Only lost a star as I had to look into the bylaws myself as I didn't feel the recommended location made sense. Turns out I was right. Otherwise the AC would have been installed in an undesired location.

I've counted on Arpi's for all my heating and cooling needs for many years. They installed our air conditioning this summer. From phone call, to quotation, through to installation, Arpi's staff were professional, helpful and caring. Though it's been a few years since I've had a chance to meet Arpi Berdin, I'm pleased to report that the company bearing his name is carrying on his tradition of excellence in customer satisfaction. Thanks to the entire Arpi's team!

We just had a new Lennox furnace installed this month, November 2016 using Arpi’s. They arrived on time, were very friendly and professional. They covered the carpets and stairs with a drop cloth which we didn’t expect but very appreciated. We also purchased a Nest thermostat and had them install it. The entire install went very smoothly. Even the quote stage was done very professionally and friendly. By 3:30 pm every thing was done and working. We would definitely recommend Lennox and Arpi’s… R/V

They did a very good job with the installation of my furnace. I am very happy with their work and the furnace itself. I was also impressed by the inspector who came by.

We were greatly impressed by the whole process. The project manager took the time with us to explain everything and answered all of our questions. The installation guys were very considerate and polite. They didn't waste a minute of their time or ours. Their work was neat and clean and I hope they will be acknowledged for the outstanding job they did.

dispatch sucks, they only know enough of the city to get home. To many chiefs, not enough indians, . communication sucks, decisions made poorly, too many men bitching about having to work, and to top it all off, the guy managing service should have retired about 20 years ago. What a waste of time, I never madeany money, I should have just volunteered, 1 of the best 50 managed companies in Canada? bull shit, they can't organize a piss up at a brewery. even if Arpi himself paid for it! Just another greedy company, too high of prices, under qualified workers, and when that doesent work, they shit on the guys that should be there that they cant afford to pay. so yeah, phone arpis, save up for a few months, you will need to.
