I moved with Tender Touch this past Friday (February 28th) and my biggest concern involved an extra pick-up I asked them to do, of a heavy sofabed that wouldn't fit in my previous unit, so it was being stored at my mother's apartment. I was worried that the sofabed wouldn't fit through the regular hallways of my new building and would have to be hoisted over the balcony.Pedro and his team of two (Peter and Cole) were excellent. They were friendly, professional and  courteous, and Pedro showed incredible leadership skill by communicating effectively with his crew, giving instruction when needed and planning out how to move the sofabed into my suite.  Whereas I thought there was no way that this piece of furniture would fit through the front door, Pedro took it as a personal challenge to see it done and avoid the more costly and time-consuming hoist. And they did it. I was so impressed and so pleased with their efforts and their skill. These guys were worth EVERY cent and I will definitely call Tender Touch Moving again.

I used tender touch for a within toronto move (jarvis and wellesley to bloor and spadina) in 2009.  This move was a bad experience for me for the following reasons:1.   The movers dragged out the move substantially.  I was living in an apartment with a furnished living room and partly furnished bedroom so I had very little furniture of my own (bed frame, mattress, wardrobe, bookshelf, TV).  tender touch took much longer and as significantly more expensive than any other company even though my other moves included many more possessions and have been further distances.2.  The 'we decide in the middle of the move how long this move is going to take and then charge your credit card for that many hours of work' policy. I cant believe this could actually be a policy.  I'm more inclined to believe it was  just the mover in charge being an a**hole.  but once they had most of my stuff loaded into their truck I was told my move would take x amount of time based on their expert opinion and that I had to pay for that time now in order for them to continue with my move.  If they took longer they would charge me again.  I didn't agree with this but ended up paying because they had all my stuff.  3.  The a**hole mover.  One of the movers was perfectly reasonable to deal with but the other one who was responsible for dealing with me was pretty  condescending and did very little.   There are a lot of great reviews for these guys out there so I can't help but wonder if the bad experience I had with these guys was because of the 1 a**hole mover and if that guy even works there anymore

I moved with Tender Touch Moving (TTM) at the end of June 2012. If you are moving then you are probably short on time so I will give you a quick & dirty list of my experience:PRO-The customer service before the move was exceptional-The day before the move I had to switch the moving time and TTM was able to accommodate me. Awesome!-Three guys in uniform showed up and were very professional and friendly throughout the move. Each one introduced himself at the beginningCON-Nobody called me the day before the move to confirm-There was nothing Tender about the move. Several pieces of furniture ended up with chips, cracks and holes. This was despite our shrink wrapping everything ourselves before TTM even showed up-I spent time watching how they moved furniture from afar and I saw some shocking handling of my furniture (bumping into ceiling beams needlessly and dragging across hardwood floors)-It was a very warm day of about 33 degrees and only one guy showed up with a beverage. (Be sure to offer your mover water as they really appreciated it when I popped off to the store for juice, pop and water.)-Our move cost about $400 more than the estimate. Yes, we did spend one hour in traffic. But it still seemed pretty far off the estimate.-Nobody from TTM called us after the move to follow up on the service.

A Tender Touch Moving truck with crew blocked all parking access for the tenants of a building in downtown Toronto.  They wedged a large truck tightly between two buildings which cut off access for tenants parked behind the building.  When they were politely asked to move their truck and informed that they were on the property of a building not associated with the address of their pick-up location - they were VERY combative, abusive, and rude.  Here's a breakdown of what happened:1) they were asked to move because a tenant needed to leave for an appointment and could not drive out of the building's parking lot.   2) the Tender Touch crew were informed that they had parked in a laneway that did not belong to the building they were picking up from and that they were blocking all cars from leaving or arriving.  3) the Tender Touch crew offered no apology but instead refused to move and informed the person needing to leave that they would be 5 minutes.4) the driver of the vehicle stood waiting (what else could they do) for the Tender Touch truck to move - not saying anything after the Tender Touch crew were informed that they were illegally parked and asked to move.5) the Tender Touch crew then proceeded to berate and call the driver a jerk - when the driver asked not to be spoken to - the Tender Touch crew then called the driver a f**cking jerk.6) one of the Tender Touch crew continued to berate the driver - which the driver thankfully ignored - until they drove away.7) the Tender Touch truck left after 10 minutes - offering no apology and only after a constant refrain of abusive and rude language to the driver of the vehicle which needed to leave. This is NOT how you conduct yourself as a service provider to your clients OR anyone else.  I had left a message with Tender Touch to speak with someone directly and they have not returned the call.  Therefore I'm posting this experience for everyone to judge for themselves.DO NOT use Tender Touch!!

Estate move from Acton, Ont. to Kamloops, BC. Though this project would be a relatively small one for this company, meticulous care was taken with each item and all arrived in good order. The communication from all employees was timely and detailed. They were also very patient and specific with calls made to them. In comparing cost with other companies, that too was a very pleasant surprise. I believe there were three gentlemen involved, one from Toronto, one from Vancouver, and the van driver. I know one man was Phillip, and the driver was Jeff Crawford, but just now can't recall the other persons name. Thank you all so very much! .....and especially to Jeff and his helper who went the extra mile to unload the items under somewhat unusual circumstances.

My sister used them as well and was extremely pleased as her move was unusual . They helped her get thru the trough situation . totally Happy

If you are moving personal items and furniture that you care very much about, I would highly recommend these guys. They wrapped every piece of furniture and placed smaller breakable items securelt into lined boxes. They also put floor coverings down so as not to make a mess of the premises. The two young men were both big and strong, but also polite and very respectful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tender Touch to others.
