These movers were amazing. They were extremely kind and patient. We are both extremely busy at work, they helped us pack and move everything from our house and garage.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!They gave us the "bait and switch".  Told us it was $95/hour for two men with no hidden fees.  Our move was an inner office move so no truck required as explained up front.  They then billed us for an additional $100 travel time and $30 in fuel charges.  They booked us for 8 AM, switched the time last minute to 10 AM then showed up at 12:30 later claiming it was 12:00.  The men were so painfully slow that it took about 1/2 to move a single desk from one office to another.  The swore often and took several 10 minute breaks here and there to yell at other customers on the phone.   They have a min 3 our charge and our move should have taken 1 1/2 hours so bonus for them right?  Wrong.  They took 4 hours to do a very simple move (6 desks and  a few file cabinets).  Terrible.. Simply terrible.  I do not recommend!!!

I used this company once before (to unload a PODS container) and they were very professional. 18 months later they stunk! These guys promise the world and put on a good show about being experienced. They sent packers to my house without tape or blankets. I supplied paper. One did a great job, the other just emptied drawers and cupboards into boxes - no paper or padding. The movers had no floor coverings and tracked mud throughout my former and new homes. They also had no furniture blankets or tools. They actually lost a heavy wrought iron chair, broke a very expensive bottle of liquor, broke my new front door lock and damaged the door jamb trying to remove hinges with a small ratchet handle and tiny screwdriver. And of course they begged for cash payment and added a surcharge on a Visa payment. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

On June 29, 2014 we hired A-Plus Movers in Calgary to complete a move for us from our home to our new condo in downtown Calgary. When the mover's arrived in the morning we asked them to take extra care and effort in moving a delicate dining table that we own for which they advised us that they would charge an additional $50.00 as it was a heavy item and needed the extra attention. We agreed to thi...s amount as we wanted the dining table to be successfully moved without any incident to the new location. As the move progressed, they proceeded to move the table without any extra covers and/or special materials in order to protect it which we realized once it was in the truck as we had been busy with other tasks that needed to be done throughout the day. They moved forward with getting the table into the truck but called us to advise that the table had been chipped on the side and it was not their fault. We questioned this as we did check the table earlier but ended up letting them proceed with the move as they were adamantly denying that they had caused any damage. We also felt a little scared and intimated by the movers since they had all our possessions in their truck. The movers then arrived at our new condo to unload at which point we let them do their job and move our belongings as we waited in the unit so we could start unpacking the boxes. The table was one of the last items they brought into the suite which we immediately checked and noticed it had a significant amount of chips and cracks along the outside. I immediately notified the movers to which they expressed their disinterest in the complaint and dismissed our concerns. They then attempted to shift the blame to us indicating that the damage was caused before the move which was not possible as we had checked it earlier and there was no damage to the table. My wife and I told the movers to indicate on the contract that their was damage on the table before we signed the contract. They were dismissive of this request as well and at the end wrote 'a few small cracks' on the contract. Feeling intimidated we felt forced into signing the contract but notified them we would immediately call the owner of the company to complain. After leaving, I immediately contacted the company and notified them of the damage to which they said they would look into the complaint and resolve the issue. After waiting a day, we did not receive any contact so I proceeded to text my contact to find out the status of our complaint. He was very dismissive as well indicating that the movers told us the damage was caused before they moved the dining table and that we tipped them $50.00 for a 'good' job with the move. The movers had lied to the owner of the company as we told him the damage was caused after the move and the $50.00 fee was for moving a heavy object as indicated on the contract. He then stopped responding to all text messages and calls that I have attempted to make and I have no resolution but only a broken table. It has been a week with me attempting to make contact with anyone at the company but I have had no luck as no one will respond to my calls and voicemails. Be very afraid of this company and their shady business practices. I would never hire them again! I will also be issuing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. See More
